This might not be public worship related, but what are some common jazz/blues chord configurations? I know the concept of a blues scale, but how do you build the chords off of it? I hear the sound in a lot of southern gospel music and jazz piano, but can’t recreate it by ear.

Hey, good question! Although, this could be directly related to public worship. I’m sure there plenty of churches in New Orleans that utilize jazz in worship. Also, Southern Gospel music isn’t just only found in the South anymore.

I’ll take a look at this next week.
