7 Lessons Learned as a Worship Ministry Leader

I’ve been leading worship for quite a while.  I’ve been a musician for evening longer.  But as much as I like to think I’m a leader sometimes, I’m realizing lately that I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m a good musician who’s trying to be a leader.  Over the next several weeks I’d like to spend just a little time sharing some thoughts on seven important lessons I’ve learned.  Here’s the list:

  • Care for people more than music.
  • Train, train, train.
  • Organize.
  • Prioritize.
  • Spellcheck and proofread.
  • Be in the Word. <– This one’s the most important.
  • Lead, with grace.

I’d love to hear your lessons learned as we go through my own journey as well, so please feel free to leave a comment!
