{"id":104,"date":"2007-07-23T09:47:50","date_gmt":"2007-07-23T15:47:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/2007\/07\/23\/mens-ministry\/"},"modified":"2008-07-14T12:55:30","modified_gmt":"2008-07-14T18:55:30","slug":"mens-ministry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/mens-ministry\/","title":{"rendered":"Men&#8217;s Ministry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m feeling excited today as I continue to be involved in initial stages of <strong>continuing<\/strong> and <strong>enlarging<\/strong> a men&#8217;s ministry at <a title=\"Living Word Free Lutheran Church\" href=\"http:\/\/www.livingwordfreelutheran.org\">Living Word<\/a>.  I&#8217;ve been reading a <a title=\"No Man Left Behind\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/No-Man-Left-Behind-Disciple-Making\/dp\/0802475493\/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1\/002-3183199-7672049?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1185205607&amp;sr=8-1\">great book<\/a> that stresses the point that <strong>every thing you do that involves men in the church is men&#8217;s ministry<\/strong>.  So, if you feel like you don&#8217;t have a men&#8217;s ministry yet at your church, you do!  As long as you do things that involve men (which I hope and pray every church does!), you have a men&#8217;s ministry.\u00a0 So, worship leaders, your involvement with the men on your worship team is part of your church&#8217;s men&#8217;s ministry.\u00a0  Now it&#8217;s just time to <strong>continue to minister<\/strong> to them, <strong>build some momentum<\/strong>, and <strong>enlarge the ministry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, men in our culture either don&#8217;t come to church, or come to church to perform the same way they do in the world.  <strong>We need to get men to come to church in order to love and follow Jesus.  Period.<\/strong> I&#8217;m excited to be a part of fostering an enviroment of men loving Jesus and know that it will grealy benefit me as well.<\/p>\n<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px 5px 5px 0;float:left;height:50px;\"><script src=\"http:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"><\/script><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/mens-ministry\/\" send=\"false\" layout=\"standard\" width=\"595\" show_faces=\"false\" font=\"arial\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\"><\/fb:like><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m feeling excited today as I continue to be involved in initial stages of continuing and enlarging a men&#8217;s ministry at Living Word.
