{"id":117,"date":"2007-09-11T06:30:56","date_gmt":"2007-09-11T12:30:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/2007\/09\/11\/worship-leaders-and-the-local-church-equipping-the-saints-2-of-5\/"},"modified":"2011-03-10T21:18:32","modified_gmt":"2011-03-11T03:18:32","slug":"worship-leaders-and-the-local-church-equipping-the-saints","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/worship-leaders-and-the-local-church-equipping-the-saints\/","title":{"rendered":"Worship Leaders and the Local Church &#8211; Equipping the Saints (2 of 5)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday we talked about one of the purposes of a worship leader is to &#8220;equip the saints for works of service.&#8221;\u00a0  This is so crucial within churches.<\/p>\n<p>The majority of the time, worship leaders within the church are people with a higher level of musical talent than other people within the church.\u00a0  Often they are people with a higher portion of leadership or charisma than other people within the church.\u00a0  It is vital that they use this talent and leadership to help equip people in the church.<\/p>\n<p>A worship leader on a national platform can write all the worship songs he wants and play concerts to thousands, but he&#8217;s not going to have time to equip the church.<\/p>\n<p>We are called to come alongside those in the church, use our talent and leadership to help develop their gifts.\u00a0  We are called to raise up new worship leaders and step out of the way.\u00a0  We are called to teach volunteers how to play better, sing better, count better, lead better.\u00a0  Nationally recognized worship leaders did not get as good as they are without the help and direction of a producer.\u00a0  Our volunteers will not be able to do any better than what they are doing with the help and direction of us as &#8220;producers&#8221; as well.\u00a0  (that&#8217;s a post for another time!).<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s help out those who are not as trained as us by offering our knowledge to them to help further God&#8217;s kingdom.<\/p>\n<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px 5px 5px 0;float:left;height:50px;\"><script src=\"http:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"><\/script><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/worship-leaders-and-the-local-church-equipping-the-saints\/\" send=\"false\" layout=\"standard\" width=\"595\" show_faces=\"false\" font=\"arial\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\"><\/fb:like><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday we talked about one of the purposes of a worship leader is to &#8220;equip the saints for works of service.&#8221;\u00a0 This is so crucial within churches.
