{"id":132,"date":"2007-11-12T09:26:43","date_gmt":"2007-11-12T15:26:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/2007\/11\/12\/raising-up-new-worship-leaders-helps-deal-with-burnout-1-of-5\/"},"modified":"2008-06-14T16:06:02","modified_gmt":"2008-06-14T22:06:02","slug":"raising-up-new-worship-leaders-helps-deal-with-burnout-1-of-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/raising-up-new-worship-leaders-helps-deal-with-burnout-1-of-5\/","title":{"rendered":"Raising Up New Worship Leaders Helps Deal with Burnout (1 of 5)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Burnout.\u00a0  That&#8217;s a word that is heard far too often in ministry.\u00a0  I believe it&#8217;s a word that should and can be eliminated with the right steps.\u00a0  I believe that the most important step is to equip and raise up people to be able to do the same work that you have been doing.\u00a0  This way, more people share the workload, the work goes on if you disappear, and the work isn&#8217;t centered around you but around the ministry.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, there are several reasons why we&#8217;re afraid or unwilling to take this steps.\u00a0  Today we&#8217;ll deal with the reasons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We&#8217;re selfish.\u00a0  Let&#8217;s face it.\u00a0  In every one of us there is a part that wants recognition.\u00a0  Even a pastor I know said that he deals with wanting to be recognized very often.\u00a0  How do we deal with this?<\/li>\n<li>We&#8217;re afraid.\u00a0  What will happen if I&#8217;m not in control of this ministry?\u00a0  What happens if the person I&#8217;m trying to raise up fails miserably?\u00a0  What if&#8230;.?\u00a0  How do we get rid of the what if&#8217;s?<\/li>\n<li>We don&#8217;t know how.\u00a0  We may think we are &#8220;leaders,&#8221;
