{"id":135,"date":"2007-11-26T09:26:28","date_gmt":"2007-11-26T15:26:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/2007\/11\/26\/raising-up-new-worship-leaders-helps-deal-with-burnout-4-of-5\/"},"modified":"2008-06-15T19:43:31","modified_gmt":"2008-06-16T01:43:31","slug":"raising-up-new-worship-leaders-helps-deal-with-burnout-4-of-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/raising-up-new-worship-leaders-helps-deal-with-burnout-4-of-5\/","title":{"rendered":"Raising Up New Worship Leaders Helps Deal with Burnout (4 of 5)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week we&#8217;ll finish looking at some reasons why we might be afraid to raise up new worship leaders, which eventually causes us to burn ourselves out.<\/p>\n<p>One of the reason that we don&#8217;t want to raise up new worship leaders is that we don&#8217;t know how.\u00a0  This is a very valid reason with some potentially easy solutions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First of all, learn how.\u00a0  This might seem obvious, but many times we rely on our own talent to get us through things.\u00a0  Because we rely on our own talent, we don&#8217;t know how to teach and train others.\u00a0  It is our responsiblity to continuously learn and train ourselves.\u00a0  I believe the most important training we could ever go through is that of learning how to equip others.<\/li>\n<li>Recognize that you might not have the gift of teaching.\u00a0  The Bible is clear that certain gifts are given to certain people.\u00a0  Perhaps you can play and instrument, sing, and lead worship really well but you have no idea how to teach others how to do it.\u00a0  Find people who do.\u00a0  Find music teachers within your church or even within your community.\u00a0  Find people that can teach you how to be a better leader, and let those people teach your volunteers as well.<\/li>\n<li>Make time to teach.\u00a0  So often in the world of church music we are constantly rehearsing, rehearsing, rehearsing.\u00a0  Schedule some time for teaching.\u00a0  Come up with a monthly workshop time to teach your volunteers.\u00a0  If that is too often, do it quarterly, or even twice a year.\u00a0  Make time to teach.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tomorrow we&#8217;ll look at what happens when we <strong>think <\/strong>we don&#8217;t have the right people in which to pass on leadership.<\/p>\n<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px 5px 5px 0;float:left;height:50px;\"><script src=\"http:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"><\/script><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/raising-up-new-worship-leaders-helps-deal-with-burnout-4-of-5\/\" send=\"false\" layout=\"standard\" width=\"595\" show_faces=\"false\" font=\"arial\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\"><\/fb:like><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week we&#8217;ll finish looking at some reasons why we might be afraid to raise up new worship leaders, which eventually causes us to burn ourselves out.
