{"id":1723,"date":"2011-04-20T08:30:08","date_gmt":"2011-04-20T14:30:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/?p=1723"},"modified":"2011-04-20T08:30:08","modified_gmt":"2011-04-20T14:30:08","slug":"tired","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/tired\/","title":{"rendered":"Sacrifice Makes You Tired"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>I\u2019m tired lately<\/strong>.\u00a0 I\u2019m tired of waiting.\u00a0 I\u2019m tired of God telling me to \u201cbe patient.\u201d\u00a0 I\u2019m tired of dreaming big dreams but not having the time or means to execute them.\u00a0 And I\u2019m just plain tired physically and mentally.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And I\u2019m wondering if it\u2019s okay<\/strong>.\u00a0 I\u2019m sacrificing sleep in order to both keep my house in order and do a second \u201cjob\u201d that doesn\u2019t pay me anything but provide the fuel for what I\u2019m passionate about.\u00a0 I\u2019m sacrificing my dreams and passions in order to provide for my family so that I don\u2019t sacrifice our security.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s hard to balance life when certain sacrifices lead you to security but decreased involvement in what you\u2019re truly passionate about and when other sacrifices lead you to a lack of sleep and rest but increased involvement in your dreams and passions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is this a life of worship?<\/strong> I don\u2019t know.\u00a0 I just know that I\u2019m doing my best to honor God in my 8-hour workday, taking care of my wife and daughter, AND in attempting to work as a passionate volunteer for the church.\u00a0 I\u2019m trying to follow the command to \u201cwhatever you do, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ\u201d from Colossians 3.
