{"id":218,"date":"2008-06-09T06:30:36","date_gmt":"2008-06-09T12:30:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/?p=218"},"modified":"2011-03-12T20:49:22","modified_gmt":"2011-03-13T02:49:22","slug":"sunday-recap-a-musically-enjoyable-sunday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/sunday-recap-a-musically-enjoyable-sunday\/","title":{"rendered":"Sunday Recap &#8211; A Musically Enjoyable Sunday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This Sunday at <a title=\"Living Word Free Lutheran Church\" href=\"http:\/\/www.livingwordfreelutheran.org\">Living Word<\/a> was fantastic.\u00a0 I think even more so than usual for me.\u00a0 It wasn&#8217;t because we had a Sunday almost full of music at the church, but more because God ordained everything to work out perfectly.<\/p>\n<p>I was a bit concerned about the crammed schedule of having a group from our sister church sing three songs, plus having The Ambassadors, a\u00a0 Summer Team from <a title=\"Assocation Free Lutheran Bible School\" href=\"http:\/\/www.aflbs.org\">our Bible School<\/a> being here as well, plus having our own worship team leading worship.\u00a0 So we decided (I should say we were prompted by the Holy Spirit) to let the Summer Team lead worship and make the service a little more of a &#8220;concert&#8221; style service.\u00a0 Boy, what a great decision the Spirit led us to!<\/p>\n<p>Not only was it nice for our musicians to have a bit of break, it was so good to just listen to God&#8217;s Word being sung in music.\u00a0 We also learned a <a title=\"Aaron Shust | The Name of Jesus\" href=\"http:\/\/www.aaronshust.com\">great new worship song by Aaron Shust<\/a> that we will be singing in days to come.\u00a0 And, I was helping teach some of our youth how to run EasyWorship and get this, both of these youth actually sang during the service!\u00a0 It was so cool to sit between two young people who were lifting their praises to God.\u00a0 Here was the song list:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Name of Jesus (Aaron Shust)<\/li>\n<li>Praise to the Lord, the Almighty (updated arrangement)<\/li>\n<li>Be the Centre (Michael Frye)<\/li>\n<li>Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior (Hymn by Fanny Crosby)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And, oh yeah, the message was awesome.<\/p>\n<p>And we celebrated our final night of The Truth Project by having pizza and worshiping together before watching the last session.<\/p>\n<p>A great day.<\/p>\n<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px 5px 5px 0;float:left;height:50px;\"><script src=\"http:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"><\/script><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/sunday-recap-a-musically-enjoyable-sunday\/\" send=\"false\" layout=\"standard\" width=\"595\" show_faces=\"false\" font=\"arial\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\"><\/fb:like><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Sunday at Living Word was fantastic.\u00a0 I think even more so than usual for me.\u00a0 It wasn&#8217;t because we had a Sunday almost full of music at the church, but more because God ordained everything to work out perfectly.
