{"id":236,"date":"2008-07-14T09:02:32","date_gmt":"2008-07-14T15:02:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/?p=236"},"modified":"2008-07-14T09:02:32","modified_gmt":"2008-07-14T15:02:32","slug":"sunday-recap-some-encouraging-things-happening","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/sunday-recap-some-encouraging-things-happening\/","title":{"rendered":"Sunday Recap &#8211; Some Encouraging Things Happening"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As usual &#8211; a great day at Living Word yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>We sang:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rise Up O Church of God<\/li>\n<li>Blessed Be Your Name (Redman)<\/li>\n<li>How Great is Our God (Tomlin)<\/li>\n<li>Speak O Lord (Townend \/ Getty)<\/li>\n<li>We Are Called to Be God&#8217;s People<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We had a bit of a glitch with the final hymn &#8211; but those things happen.\u00a0 I was so encouraged by several things yesterday:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The lady battling cancer continues to raise her hands in worship with a joyous smile on her face.<\/li>\n<li>A visiting friend of a young teenager in our congregation closes her eyes in worship and I could see her mind exalting Jesus Christ through it.<\/li>\n<li>A young man raises his hands to God during the Lord&#8217;s Prayer (I had to have my eyes open because I was holding my squirmy daughter \ud83d\ude42 )<\/li>\n<li>Finding out that two new regular visitors sing, play the bass and play the guitar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Wade preached a fantastic sermon on the 4th commandment &#8211; very convicting and encouraging.\u00a0 We are able to bring our daughter to the zoo and thouroughly enjoy watching her &#8220;ooh&#8221; and &#8220;oh&#8221; and scream in delight at giraffes, squirrel monkeys and many other animals.\u00a0 Ended the day with a movie with my wife and got to bed slightly early.\u00a0 A great Sunday.<\/p>\n<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px 5px 5px 0;float:left;height:50px;\"><script src=\"http:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"><\/script><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/sunday-recap-some-encouraging-things-happening\/\" send=\"false\" layout=\"standard\" width=\"595\" show_faces=\"false\" font=\"arial\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\"><\/fb:like><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As usual &#8211; a great day at Living Word yesterday.
