{"id":82,"date":"2007-05-07T10:13:07","date_gmt":"2007-05-07T16:13:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/?p=82"},"modified":"2011-03-12T20:46:03","modified_gmt":"2011-03-13T02:46:03","slug":"times-100-most-influential-people","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iamanoffering.com\/blog\/times-100-most-influential-people\/","title":{"rendered":"Time&#8217;s 100 most Influential People&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I came across a link to Time&#8217;s 100 most influential people of the year (voted by the people). \u00a0I wonder, why are there no pastors in here? \u00a0No missionaries? \u00a0Church teachers? \u00a0Bono made the list (of course, and that&#8217;s fantastic), but the only outspoken Christian celebrity I could see was Tony Dungy, coming in at #80.<\/p>\n<p>What happened to the days when the world&#8217;s most influential people belonged to the church? \u00a0Jesus, first of all. \u00a0Peter. \u00a0Paul. \u00a0Luther. \u00a0Calvin. \u00a0Wesley. \u00a0Since Jesus and into the present it seems like the church&#8217;s voice has become less influential, and entertainment&#8217;s voice has become more and more (Sanjaya Malakar at #3??
