What a service!

Yesterday’s service was awesome. Here are a few highlights:

  • A pastor who openly wept for his unsaved father before his sermon even got started. We all need this kind of heart for the lost.
  • Pastor’s message to dads to not be a rock, but to stand on The Rock.
  • “In man-land, fear is an unapproved emotion, but anger is approved…Fear usually comes out as anger.” We need a little more healthy fear, and a lot less anger.
  • Pastor’s call to dads about the absolute importance of their faith.
  • Watching a “macho” teen embrace his dad for at least two full minutes after the service was over.
  • Having my grandfather, my dad, and my father-in-law at the service.

The atmosphere of tenderness and excitement and truth was so evident yesterday. God is moving and I can’t wait to see where He is taking us.
